Winter Farm Share

October 9, 2010 at 4:43 pm 1 comment

The Winter Farm share is finally here! The winter farm share will consist of 4 distributions: Nov. 6, Nov. 20, Dec. 11 and Jan. 8. The core offering is the vegetable share from The Farm at Miller’s Crossing, our reliable and high quality partner. The vegetables will be a mix of fresh greens (as weather permits), winter vegetables (roots and hardy ground vegetables) and “flash frozen” vegetables from this last summer.  The Winter Farm Share will have sliding scale income pricing options as well as a SNAP (food stamp) option.

In addition, there will be beef, poultry, and dairy options from neighboring farms. See the downloadable farm and FAQ for full details.

Remember, the hard deadline for all of these shares is Oct. 27 (if you mail in your form it must be received by then). The Farm at Miller’s Crossing has a finite number of vegetables shares that they are splitting between 3 CSA’s, so the sooner you submit your form the better.

Please download and read the form and FAQ’s first and if you still have questions, email us at longislandcitycsa@gmail.com
